Quotes from the Standard Bank CIB graduates about their experience at CARE

  •  “Our weekend at CARE was just amazing. The way the staff is able to take those orphaned babies and create a future for them is just unbelievable. The way they are able to do so much with so little funding is even more incredible. Their dedication to the cause astounded and inspired me.”  - Ashley Dodds
  •  “Definitely a humbling experience because I have never really learnt to appreciate animals – more especially baboons which are still perceived as pests to society. But the weekend away has left a lasting impression in my heart and memories of those cute little baby baboons!” – Lebogang Molwantoa
  • The experience was truly eye-opening and I think we were all in awe of the compassion that the volunteers and Rita have for these animals, the world needs more of them!”  –  Sarah Parsons
  • “Great experience and a chance to get out and be involved in something tangible, and often overlooked for the more glamorous causes. Definitely a cause where more help is needed and more attention needs to be drawn” – Zain Wilson
  • “As I sat there, nursing baby Calvin, I couldn’t help but be overcome by a warm fuzzy feeling; completely unrelated to the fact that the little man had proceeded to pee in my lap…” – Sibusiso Gumbi
  • “The people at CARE are an inspiration to us all, and walking around CARE and being educated on what really happens is an eye-opener. My perception of these remarkable animals has completely changed and I am now a true baboon lover” – Bridget Steynberg
  • “The visit to CARE was inspiring, touching and very educational. I now have so much respect for Rita and all the volunteers who give so much of themselves and their time for this cause, without expecting anything in return. I am now a proud supporter of CARE.” – Lizelle Breytenbach
  • “Spending time with people who commit their entire life for a cause that they believe in so much really inspired me”  - Michelle Wohlberg
  • The centre really lives up to its name – Centre for Animal Rehabilitation and Education. I learnt a huge amount not only baboons but also about rehabilitating animals in general. I was amazed by the effort and time given by the volunteers in order to rehabilitate a baboon from a baby until it is ready to be released. I was also fascinated by the many individual stories of the different baboons there. C.A.R.E really is a tremendous organization.” – Laura Hancock
